Lokum

Neighborhood intelligence for home buyers — check how you’ll live at an address (transit, schools, shops, noise cues, barriers) before you buy, not after the keys are in hand.

Overview

Lokum is LunexLab’s second consumer product after Fubble VPN: a web app that turns an address into a readable neighborhood report. Buyers get walk times to transit, schools, parks, and shops, plus noise and access cues from public map layers — framed for decisions, not listing fluff.

The product ships live at lokum.lunexlab.com with a free one-address check and paid unlocks for deeper market layers. Design and engineering stay in-house; the LunexLab site documents the studio behind the build.

The challenge

Property portals sell the flat. Walkability tools sell a score. Home buyers still ask: how will I live here day to day? They need cited layers — transit, schools, shops, noise, barriers — without inventing trust signals or burying the answer behind an account wall.

Approach

  • Lead with a free address check: OSM amenity layers and foot times from the pin.
  • Keep the report reopenable for a week so buyers can compare without new API spend.
  • Gate paid market/housing depth behind unlock — free layers stay visible.
  • Ship as a real product subdomain under LunexLab, linked from Fubble when markets differ.

Outcomes

  • Live consumer web product for neighborhood due diligence.
  • Clear free vs paid story: OSM layers free; deeper housing intel on unlock.
  • Studio discovery path from lunexlab.com/work/lokum/ to the product URL.
